Okay, okay, got a little bit of flak for not keeping this up, so over the next few days I'll be doing a couple of posts to catch up. Before I go any further, congratulations to Ang and Andrew on your engagement!!! Can't think of a better pair, when are you going to do the deed??
Remembrance Day weekend, we decided last minute to go up to Darcy and Melissa's camp for the weekend, it was so nice to get away. Ben hadn't been there since he was 5 weeks old. We arrived about 2 or so on Friday, and Darcy, Dean and Jade (friends from Korea) were already there. Soon after, Kim, Liss and Mitchell arrived. As everyone knows, Ben loves the camera, and here he is with Liss playing up to it. Friday when we got there, there was quite the fire going in the camp, so we stripped Ben down, and here is Mitchell (13 and very talented, he has his own band!) playing his electric guitar for him, Ben just loves it!!
It was such a beautiful day, around 15 deg or so, so we put Ben's playpen outside. I wanted to include this pic because it's not very often I can get a pic of him when he's not looking and smiling for the camera!
Ben just loves Jade, they had a lot of fun playing together on her bed.
Later that night, poor Jake, Darcy and Melissa's dog got sprayed by a skunk. We were lucky it was just him, since we had Kaizer there, and there was one other dog there as well. Liss had heard about this wonderful antidote for skunk, and were very lucky to actually find some baking soda and peroxide. After a couple of batches of the magic solution,
poor Jake was finally smelling good again, although quite cold. Darcy is famous for his wonderful fires, so after some time curled up in front of it he was much better.
There was a great crowd up there, 7 kids, many many adults, and really nice weather until we had to leave. What a beautiful place to be. Thanks to Darcy and Liss for having us!!

Ben's First Halloween

Here's Ben in his Winnie the Pooh costume, Jody tried painting his face, but Ben was so upset we just washed it off. We went to a total of four houses, and he got 4 bags of cheesies. He hadn't had them before, but he just loves them.
First up was Darcy and Liss's house, then Muss and Chris's (friends of ours), Great Grampie's, and finally Grammie and Grampie Jenkins.
How Ben dropped this on top of him without hurting himself is a mystery, he just let out a little squeal, and there he was!! We just had to take a picture!

Here's Ben playing with Darrel Prianti and Sarah McKelvey's daughter Tatum. What a sweetheart! He wasn't too sure about sharing his toys, but they get along great as long as Tatum doesn't hug us. He tends to get a little jealous.
And finally, our cat Whiskey who's taken a liking to Ben's stroller.

Well, that's more than enough entries for now, and i've ran out of recent pictures. Talk to you later............

A Terrific Weekend

My Mom and Dad came up Saturday and spent the night for Ben's Baptism the next day. We had a great visit, it had been about 2 months since they had seen Ben, the web cam just isn't the same. Ben had a great time cuddling with his Grammie.

Again, pics in the wrong order. We gave Ben a whole blueberry muffin for lunch, he went right to town on it! what a mess!
Here's Ben with Poppy, it's a toss-up who has the most fun playing when they're together!!
Sam doesn't look too pleased here, Ang wouldn't let her do her hair in the faux hawk (or whatever it's called, sorry Sam!),but it was great to see her, too bad Bill couldn't come up too. And here's doodlebug with his godmother. It was great to see my family, I got my fix for another little while. We probably won't get home until Christmas, though, and everyone will see another big change in Ben by then. Here's a little video clip of Ben when the family was here, check it out.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjENqcwCGPk

Benjamin's Baptism

Hey guys, it's been so long since i've done this that I forgot how!! That's why I couldn't get these pics in order, but here you go. We had Ben baptized at Saint Michael's on October 29th. He had fallen asleep on me during the first part of the baptism, so when Father Fraser did the bit with the holy water, it was a rude awakening for Ben!

And here he is after the holy water, he doesn't look too pleased!!
Here is a pic of my Mom and Dad, and my niece Sam who all were able to be present. Ang, my sister, and her man Andrew also came up, and of course Betty, Joe and Jason were there too.
Father Fraser with Benjamin.........

and Ben with his godparents, Jason and Ang.
