Okay, okay, got a little bit of flak for not keeping this up, so over the next few days I'll be doing a couple of posts to catch up. Before I go any further, congratulations to Ang and Andrew on your engagement!!! Can't think of a better pair, when are you going to do the deed??
Remembrance Day weekend, we decided last minute to go up to Darcy and Melissa's camp for the weekend, it was so nice to get away. Ben hadn't been there since he was 5 weeks old. We arrived about 2 or so on Friday, and Darcy, Dean and Jade (friends from Korea) were already there. Soon after, Kim, Liss and Mitchell arrived. As everyone knows, Ben loves the camera, and here he is with Liss playing up to it. Friday when we got there, there was quite the fire going in the camp, so we stripped Ben down, and here is Mitchell (13 and very talented, he has his own band!) playing his electric guitar for him, Ben just loves it!!
It was such a beautiful day, around 15 deg or so, so we put Ben's playpen outside. I wanted to include this pic because it's not very often I can get a pic of him when he's not looking and smiling for the camera!
Ben just loves Jade, they had a lot of fun playing together on her bed.
Later that night, poor Jake, Darcy and Melissa's dog got sprayed by a skunk. We were lucky it was just him, since we had Kaizer there, and there was one other dog there as well. Liss had heard about this wonderful antidote for skunk, and were very lucky to actually find some baking soda and peroxide. After a couple of batches of the magic solution,
poor Jake was finally smelling good again, although quite cold. Darcy is famous for his wonderful fires, so after some time curled up in front of it he was much better.
There was a great crowd up there, 7 kids, many many adults, and really nice weather until we had to leave. What a beautiful place to be. Thanks to Darcy and Liss for having us!!

You're welcome Mel..thanks for coming! Great post, and I laughed when I saw that picture of Jake because he looks red (from all of the ketchup everyone dumped on him). Poor Jake! :)
i couldn't stop laughing at him, poor thing!! i know you included those pics on your blog, but i thought mom and dad would get a kick out of them too!
No problem..those pictures never get old! :)
They still had me laughing. Good job Mel and glad ya updated. I know I've wanted to leave comments before with gentle nudges but I didn't want to disrupt your family as I know it's primarily for them.
This works though, just let Liss go first. :D
Feel free to jump in on the games we got going on in the comments on my blog too. So far we got Liss, Darcy's been biting his tongue, Matt, Coll and Brian. The more the merrier I always say.
The new one will soon be beginning (just did an entry to test the beta upgrade, give it two thumbs up, might want to switch yourselves, way better pic upload) and there's still one going strong on the last entry.
Allow me to extend my congrats to Angie and Andrew as well... best wishes you guys.
-Kim
